Borini 'seriously considering' joining Liverpool, says agent

The Italy international enjoyed a promising debut season in Serie A, scoring nine goals in 24 appearances, and now a reunion with former boss Brendan Rodgers looks likely

Fabio Borini is "seriously considering" joining Liverpool after learning of the Premier League club's interest in him, according to the Roma striker’s agent.

Brendan Rodgers is a known admirer of Borini after working with him at Chelsea - and later a successful loan spell at Swansea City - and the Serie A club have admitted that there is substantial interest from the Anfield side.
Borini’s representative, Marco De Marchi, added that the three parties will be continuing discussions throughout the week, but refused to be drawn on which way the 21-year-old's mind may be leaning.
Speaking to Radio Radio, De Marchi said: "Roma has informed us of Liverpool’s interest in the boy. Now it's up to Fabio to have his say."

The representative continued on IlSussidiario.net, saying: "We were alerted by Roma of the existence of this deal. I cannot honestly tell you the details but, as [sporting director Walter] Sabatini has already said, we're now seriously considering it.
"Would the player want to go to Liverpool? Honestly, I don't want to commit myself as there will be more news in the coming days. Wait for that."
