Scholes signs one-year deal at Manchester United

Having decided to come out of retirement in January and contributing to the Red Devils' title challenge, the midfielder has now opted to prolong his playing career at Old Trafford

 


 



Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has agreed a new one-year deal at Old Trafford.
Having retired at the end of the 2010/11 season, Scholes made a shock u-turn, making his comeback for the Red Devils in January during United’s 3-2 FA Cup victory over rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The veteran midfielder was lauded for his performances last season, scoring four league goals as he almost guided United to a 13th Premier League title.
And the United man is now set to prolong his career into a season which will see him turn 38.
United have also announced the goalkeeper Ben Amos has agreed a three-year deal at the club.
