No Klopp at the Kop as Dortmund boss quashes Liverpool rumours

The previous Chelsea target has reiterated that he will not be leaving Germany until his contract expires and says he loves life with the Bundesliga champions and cup winners

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has distanced himself from rumours that he could become the next Liverpool manager.

The Reds are reported to have drawn up a 12-man shortlist to find Kenny Dalglish's successor, and though they have been granted permission to talk to Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, Swansea's Brendan Rodgers declined the opportunity - and it appears Klopp will not be arriving at Anfield any time soon, either.

The 44-year-old said: "I have been made aware of interest from England, and it is an honour to be linked with big clubs in the Premier League. "But I have a contract with Dortmund until 2016 and am going nowhere. I love it here and have no intention of changing clubs."
Klopp has earned rave reviews throughout Europe after guiding Dortmund to back-to-back titles on a shoestring budget, and still has four years of his deal to run.

Dortmund disappointed in this year's Champions League though, finishing bottom of a group containing Arsenal, Marseille and Olympiakos.

Klopp will be eager to right those wrongs when his side embark on another European campaign next year, and he has already rebuffed interest from Chelsea in landing him as their new long-term manager.

Dortmund's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed back in February that there was no way the club would ever sack Klopp during his reign at Signal Iduna Park.

Watzke said: "I assume very little in life. But I can rule out that before 2016 I might say to Jurgen Klopp, 'We must part ways'.

"We are absolutely convinced of Jurgen. I've known him for four years, I know how he works and have total confidence in him."
