Chilean superteen striker Angelo Henriquez has reportedly completed his medical ahead of an agreed move to Manchester United.
The deal which will see 18-year-old Henriquez move from Universidad de Chile to Old Trafford has been settled in principal for some time.
It
has been reported that United have moved to act on a pre-existing
get-in clause, which gave them first shout on the youngster until 2014.
It is thought that this clause was established in 2009 between
Manchester United and Universidad de Chile, when Henriquez was one of a
couple of young Chileans given the once-over by Fergie.
The transfer fee is thought to be in the region of Euro 4million, though that has also been reported as £4m.
The
youngster spent several hours at Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester
today being prodded and probed by medical professionals, and the
reportedly happy outcome should see Angelo officially and publicly
signed-up pronto.
It has been claimed in Chile that he will be
immediately loaned back to his current club. United are yet to make any
announcement on the subject.Henriquez impressed at the recent Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland, when Chile finished third in the six-team elite competition.
