JAN VERTONGHEN is hoping to confirm his £9.5million switch to Spurs in the next 24 hours.
The Belgian defender is thrashing out the final terms of his move with current club Ajax today.
And he expects to reach agreement with the Dutch giants to become Andre Villas-Boas’ second signing as Tottenham manager.
Vertonghen’s representative Nakhli Mondial said: “We have a meeting with Ajax to come to a solution.
“There is some movement and we have the intention to come to an agreement.”
Vertonghen, 25, is expecting 15 per cent of any transfer fee but Ajax are trying to reduce the amount the player gets.
AVB has already brought in Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim.
